CARDANIC SPLINE WITHOUT RELIEF

 

The figure illustrates a detail of 6 grooves to achieve a cardanic PTO executed using the REV BROACHING TOOL. This is a special piece which required profiling an insert specifically for this purpose. A chamfered edge of 0.2X45° was also executed on the intersecting point between hole and keyway seating, therefore making the piece completely burr-free. Broaching carried out using the REV BROACHING TOOL is therefore perfectly centred on the workpiece and, having been carried out directly on the lathe, it considerably reduced production times.
