The figure illustrates an example of spiral toothing. This operation is performed using the REV BROACHING TOOL. It is a special piece requiring a special, ad hoc insert that is profiled for this purpose. The recommended solution is to then execute a chamfered edge of 0.2x45° on the intersecting point between the hole diameter and the tooth seat, to achieve a completely burr-free piece. Broaching using the REV BROACHING TOOL is therefore perfectly centred on the workpiece and, being carried out directly on the lathe, it considerably reduces production times. For this type of machining, programming directly on the CNC would be extremely complex, however, it becomes extremely simple using the programme offered by our Company.
